Same state of affairs here... I was able to run the Poweshell command after I installed Windows 10 and has some missing apps... only for 1 user, the other user had them all (on the aforementioned installation/estimator).
Then, later on a Windows Update, those apps disappeared and when I tried the control over again, I go this error message.
It looks like the update was trying to fix what we already stock-still and messed things up?..
Yes, delight assist, this is a massive headache and nosotros demand a fix... does it have something to exercise with some admin settings (this user is an admin)?
And then, the start push does not work, Edge disappeared, the Windows Shop disappeared (that one was not working and I tried fixing it with that Powershell control)... but this happens only for one of the 2 users/accounts I take gear up up on this computer... and so weird...

I'm in the same boat as Doina, except I tin't correct-click the Chore bar and Recycle Bin. I've tried:
Command Prompt as Administrator: dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
This completes successfully but the problem persists.
Command Prompt equally Administrator:sfc /scannow
This completes with: "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them." Simply the problem persists.
In Powershell as Administrator: become-appxpackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add together-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
This errors repeatedly with: "0x80073CF6, Packet could non be registered. fault 0x8000FFFF: Calculation a tile failed with unexpected error."
I am using build 10240. I have tried Windows Updates and I accept rebooted through each process. I am about to wipe it and start over, but I would rather non if there is a simpler set up. I had high hopes for this Os...

After trying all the fixes talked about in a higher place and many other found in other places, I tried a reinstall just by choosing the option to go along all the applications and settings already installed: it did not fix the problem for the user affected (of the two defined). So.... I gave upward waiting for a set that would resolve this 1 user issue and... I copied the few things I really needed for that user (mainly the Outlook files, a few pictures and documents), created a new user (of the local login variety), made sure everything I wanted was there and working, associated the new user with the old Hotmail/outlook account and... deleted the quondam user account: everything seems peachy then far (I do have my fingers crossed though :) ).
It looks to me that if I went this way from solar day 1, I would take saved myself a lot of problem and wasted time... for time to come issues, I think the wise mode to go is:
- check the Cyberspace for some possible fixes, if anything that seems to make sense shows upwards, try information technology... give this 1-2 hours of enquiry at most
- consider creating a new user while backing up the critical information... this volition take 2-3 hrs at near
- consider a full reinstall if everything else fails... it's easy to practice this with the online parcel
And of course this would work well if the issue is non a catastrophic one that would require a recovery from a backup (do one at least one time every 3-6 months)... the old backup style is now bachelor and with the big HDs these days, nosotros should be able to gear up it automatically to run at least once every ninety days so it should non exist a major hassle.

I tin can't believe how incompetent Microsoft are not fixing this. Notice how Google's android store doesn't do this. I only discovered I had this problem when I tried to open up a jpg file and photo viewer had gone, the found the shop doesn't piece of work.
Lesson for Microsoft......don't release a production until you lot've ironed out basic problems, and get out a set quickly for any that affect normal functionality.
I will not be reinstalling windows to outcome a cure, I don't agree I should have to practice this.
Linux is calling me, if I'g going to have to mess with command line and powershell I may every bit well use Linux where I get more control and a lot more than aid

I got exactly the same issue as Mahesh.
I don't know what's wrong with the updates using the Windows Store, but come up on, this cannot be the case every couple months.
I've had similar issue already and skilful thing that this was just bought Surface Book, but wasn't expecting this kind of issues right out of boxing the unit.
Withal this happens again on a different application, this time it's Drawboard PDF. Can't exercise anything with it, not even uninstall the App (this just makes things 100 times better). It's like you're stuck and yous have to Restore to defaults as there'due south no fix for the Store.
I don't want to complain too much as apparently it'southward a flake irritating, but the fact I've not seen any prissy and easy set for it from MS, it's merely makes me not buy any new Windows product at all.
Should accept gone with Apple or straight Linux.
Let me know if in that location's any fix for this ?

Wow, I actually don't know what to say. Reinstalling Windows 10 fixed 1 problem, then bankrupt the store. Dism doesn't ever piece of work unless yous run it local against the .wim file. This operating system sucks so bad. Oh, and I forgot creating a system backup image doesn't work either. burned a fresh install to 4 dvds and tested by restoring. Flop. I am happy I can utilize the 1 app, written by a company other than microsoft, that I demand to put food on the tabular array. It'southward really creepy that they are shoving this Bone downwardly everyone's throat and it is so broken. Reinstalling doesn't piece of work? ****. Why would this Os always even be released? I feel like I'm in a science fiction movie, where everything has gone to ****.

What, hold up! I simply realized something! Everything is actually working very well, except for whatsoever and all Microsoft apps from the store. Not even the calculator will open up. Maybe I should consider this a pro and not a con. Cheers, Microsoft. Now, the "start" carte doesn't even show tiles. It'southward just the standard start menu. I call back I'll create a system restore and but count my blessings.
